Collectable Sign and Clock is proud to bring to you our lighted clock featuring limited edition art of acclaimed artist Bruce Kaiser.
Bruce Kaiser has been a car enthusiast, auto racing fan and artist for as long as he can remember. Bruce grew up around his dad's auto repair shop and began drawing cars when he was five. His love of racing probably began when his parents took him to the 1963 US Grand Prix at Watkins Glen, NY. He’s been hooked ever since.
He began his art career as a graphic artist after graduating from the Art Institute of Boston. After 16 years at a local ad agency, he struck out on his own and currently creates advertising art and graphic design for many antique auto and high-performance auto parts clients. His automotive art, including cut-a-ways, exploded views, technical line art and full color illustration has appeared in most major automotive enthusiast magazines.
Kaiser has also become a will known automotive fine artist. Working with gouache or acrylics, brush, airbrush and digitally, he strives to capture the excitement of racing and the nostalgia of cruising the local drive-in on a warm summer night. Bruce tries to make his paintings as technically accurate as possible and spends a lot of time researching each subject, which is the fun part because he gets to go through his old magazines.
Bruce began exhibiting his fine art with the first Hot Rod Heritage Fine Art Exhibit at the Las Vegas, NV SEMA show, where he has since been a featured artist. He has also been a featured artist at the Gallery Automania Hot Rod Heritage Art Exhibit in Rochester, Michigan. One of his paintings was the first art (instead of photography) ever used on the cover of Street Rodder Magazine (hot rods). He has also written and illustrated articles that have appeared in Street Rodder and Custom Rodder Magazines. He was commissioned by Group Promotions to do the cover illustration for the book “Road Rockets”, one of the titles in a limited edition collection of author Henry Gregor Felson’s famous early 60s young adult hot rod novels. He now produces limited edition prints of his paintings, many of which have sold out. New paintings and prints are always in the works.
Up for sale is an Woodward Avenue Lighted Clock. I'll start from the top. The clock measures 14 inches across. The outer lens is made from high quality optical lexan held in place with 3 removable rivets. It's scratch resistant and won't yellow over time. The advertisement face is cut out by a CNC router and the image is placed with a UV dried computer controlled printing process that will last for many years. The back of the clock is made from black ABS plastic that houses a 22 watt fluorescent circuline bulb with an on/off switch in the cord. The clock is a battery operated quarts movement that runs from 1 double AA battery. This sign is awesome when lit! This is a must for any collector and would look great in your home, office, or garage.
